Job description

Nedstar is a fast-growing, globally operating trading house and distributor of bulk ethanol based in Amsterdam. About the role and key responsibilities

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Maintain existing business relationships with customers and suppliers in the German-speaking market (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). Your home office is in the heart of old Amsterdam, but 20-30% of your time will be spent visiting customers and suppliers. 
  • Create new leads in the German-speaking market. You develop your own budget and market strategy, constantly seeking out new sales and growth opportunities. 
  • Support our commercial team in reaching Nedstar’s commercial goals by strengthening our market position and expanding into new niche markets. You will be part of a supportive team of commercial managers, with whom you can discuss opportunities, challenges and ideas. 
  • Work with our logistics team to deliver your customers’ ethanol products directly to their doorstep. 
  • Be the expert on German business practices.

  • You are a strategic thinker and dynamic self-starter 
  • You are results-focused, ambitious, and committed to achieving and surpassing your goals 
  • You love travelling and feel comfortable working with young professionals in an informal yet dynamic international B2B trade setting 
  • You are socially intelligent with strong communication skills and a natural when building long-term relationships and closing deals. 

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree 
  • Proficient in English and German 
  • Previous relevant work experience in the commercial field is beneficial 
  • Team player 
  • Strong numeracy and abstract thinking skills 
  • Persuasive and strong negotiation skills
