About the role and key responsibilities

As a Sales operations specialist, you’ll play a critical role in managing our relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met while advocating for Nedstar's quality service. You’ll oversee the execution and logistics of road and sea container shipments from initiation to delivery, planning all necessary steps, managing freight bookings, and ensuring documentation is accurate and timely. With a strong emphasis on customer retention, your objective is to enhance the client experience, which is key for our company’s success.

Your role is multi-faceted. From travelling occasionally for work to meet with global clients, to collaborating with our traders and logistics team – you're at the hub of operations. In your interactions with numerous individuals across the French-speaking world, your natural inclination towards providing exceptional service will shine. As a Sales Operations Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Managing relationships with key clients, ensuring all their requirements are met.
  • Handling the execution and logistics of road and sea container shipments from start to finish.
  • Supporting colleagues in the logistics department, planning and managing all shipments, freight bookings, and supporting documentation.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Client Communication: Addressing inquiries, providing product information, and resolving complaints.
  • Customer Feedback: Collecting feedback for product/service improvements.
  • Customer Retention: Implementing retention strategies for repeat business.
  • Order Processing and Management: Accurate order processing and timely coordination for deliveries.
  • Documentation and Record-keeping: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions. Leading weekly meetings to discuss documentation progress and order statuses. The role includes improving Nedstar's current processes of issuing documentation
  • Product/Service Knowledge: Keeping updated on product features and pricing to provide accurate information.
  • Inter-departmental Coordination: Liaising between customers and internal teams for a seamless customer experience. Occasionally guiding our logistics interns.
  • Reporting: Generating reports on customer interactions and satisfaction metrics.
  • Training and Development: Participating in training programs and assisting in training new staff.
  • Market Insight: Providing feedback on market trends and customer preferences.
  • Up-selling and Cross-selling: Identifying opportunities to maximize revenue from existing customers.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensuring adherence to company policies and quality standards.
